Some white rooms are the easy to shoot. Others, like this one, will challenge you to the end. The challenging part was creating a subtle outdoors elegance.
Tips and tricks. I flipped the tripod and set it on the countertop gaining just a bit more depth.
Screen shot of the International Color Awards Book Vol II. The ‘Storm Brewing’ image was selected for the book. It’s always an honor to make the publication. The image is a slow exposure. You can see the Horseshoe crab in two spots because it was moving in the surf during the exposure time. I had two nominations this year.

Happy Halloween! This is a medium format film shot I did on a hazy Winter day many years ago. My processing wasn’t great back then. But in this case, having less contrast works to give it an ere tone.
This is a magical time of year to be a photographer. When I shot this, the leaves on the ground were only in this area. The framing makes it look like they go on forever.
